What is Easypaisa merchant account?

An Easypaisa merchant account is a business-level registration with Easypaisa (Telenor Microfinance Bank) that lets you accept payments from customer Easypaisa wallets, with settlement to your bank account typically within 24–48 hours.

An Easypaisa merchant account is the business-side registration with Easypaisa (the mobile wallet operated by Telenor Microfinance Bank in Pakistan) that allows a business to accept payments from customers paying with their personal Easypaisa wallets. Settlement is typically within 24–48 hours to your linked bank account, minus Easypaisa's standard merchant fee (typically 1–2% depending on volume tier).

Easypaisa has 30M+ active wallets in Pakistan and is the second of the two dominant mobile-wallet payment methods (alongside JazzCash, which has 40M+ wallets). Together the two cover 70M+ active wallets — roughly one in three adult Pakistanis. Pakistani ecommerce stores that don't accept both typically lose 20–35% of would-be checkout conversions to "no preferred payment method."

To open an Easypaisa merchant account in 2026 you typically need:

  • A business registration (sole proprietorship, AOP, or company — NTN preferred but not always required)
  • One CNIC from the business owner or authorized signatory
  • A bank account in the business or owner's name for settlement
  • A signed merchant agreement with Easypaisa specifying your category, expected volume, and refund policy

Approval typically takes 3–7 business days. Application is via easypaisa.com.pk. Once approved, Easypaisa issues your merchant credentials that integration platforms like WoBooks paste into Settings → Payments to activate Easypaisa at checkout, in chat (Brain), and on POS.

Most Pakistani sellers run JazzCash and Easypaisa side-by-side — different demographics and cities prefer different wallets, so accepting both maximises conversion. WoBooks supports both natively at no additional cost.

Common questions

Do I need both JazzCash and Easypaisa?

Strongly recommended. JazzCash and Easypaisa cover different overlapping customer bases — JazzCash skews slightly toward larger cities; Easypaisa has stronger penetration in some smaller cities and rural areas. Most successful Pakistani sellers run both; the small additional setup overhead is paid back many times in conversion.

What's the difference between Easypaisa and JazzCash?

JazzCash is operated by Mobilink Microfinance Bank (Jazz mobile network); Easypaisa by Telenor Microfinance Bank (Telenor network). Functionally they're similar — both support wallet payments, bank transfers, bill payments, and merchant settlements. The main difference is customer reach: JazzCash has more wallets nationally; Easypaisa has stronger reach in some regional areas.
